As if you needed another reason to come to the show Monday.

According to the SF WEEKLY, I’m the “Best Comedian” in San Francisco! Exciting surprise of the day dot com. Here’s what they wrote about me:
“Comedians are often ambitious egotists with poor boundaries who aren’t hiding how intelligent they are. Ali Wong is all of that, plus she has the things that really matter: wit, timing, experience, and a unique hairdo. We’re so proud of her! She delighted and embarrassed fellow comedian Bobby Lee when she interviewed him for Hyphen magazine a while back, saying she forgave her sister’s dog for sniffing her crotch while she had her period: “I know he means well. He just wants beef, that’s his world.” Eeew! Love it. Wong’s clarity of vision isn’t limited to her menses; she also hilariously goes after racists, poets, her sexual partners, and American Apparel. All this has landed her on Jamie Foxx’ Laffapalooza! and made her a busy and popular local comedian.”

He’s NY’s next BIG THING. Come see him on June 22nd at Gotham!
It’s finalized!
Be excited peoples.
Get ready for the very best lineup I’ve ever put together:
Rob Cantrell
Louis Katz
Hannibal Buress
Hari Kondabolu
Sean Patton
YAY!

I’m producing my very first show in NYC, on Monday, June 22nd. Save the date. The lineup is going to be killer.
I met Donald Glover the first night I came to NY. We did a small, but very fun show together at Arlene’s Grocery. He’s only 25 years old, but has already won an Emmy for writing for 30 Rock. His sketch group DERRICK has a huge cult following. Watch the video and you’ll see why. They have a movie that showed at Sundance, and will probably get picked up by Pixar.
